Another priority in this make-over was the foyer. Previously, the front
door opened into a small, confined space so walls and closets were
taken down and removed in order to open up and expand the area.
The result is an airy and very functional mudroom. Working with John
Ferraro Co, who also took care of tear out and painting, four lockers
made of rough sawn pine, sanded and stained, were custom built giving
this growing, outdoors-loving family newly organized storage space for
their various pieces of sporting equipment. In-floor radiant heat keeps
the temperature comfortable and natural, carefree slate makes clean-
up hassle free, leaving more time to simply enjoy this wonderfully trans-
formed home. "The result is very rewarding. It's a great feeling to see
your vision come to life!" say the owners as they are wrapping up the
renovation process.
