If you’re interested in a longer hike, turn right where the Loree Side trail
meets up with the main tract and follow the white blaze as it heads into
the Loree Forest. From there you have a few options. I recommend pur-
chasing the Bruce Trail Reference Book, which has every section of the
Bruce Trail and all its Side Trails clearly marked. It also has directions,
historical notes, marked campsites and all kinds of other useful infor-
mation. The 27
th
edition goes on sale this spring with all proceeds going
to the Bruce Trail Conservancy. The reference guide can be found in
Collingwood at the Georgian Triangle Tourist Association and Saun-
ders Books, in Creemore at Curiosity House Books &Gallery, in Thorn-
bury at Jessica’s Book Nook, and in Owen Sound at Coates & Best,
Ginger Press Bookshop and the Downtown Bookstore.
