Things are improving however with the establishment of two rescue organizations on the islands,
Potcake Place K-9 Rescue and the Turks and Caicos SPCA. I was fortunate enough to work with
some of the volunteers at the TCSPCA whose goal is to educate pet owners about spaying and
neutering their pets as well as providing simple preventative veterinary care. They also place
Potcakes up for adoption and it is surprisingly simple to pack up one of these pets and bring
them back home. Potcakes have been adopted out all over the world as many travelers come
to the islands and fall in love with these adorable creatures. More information regarding Pot-
