Now, just five short years after Jake Hammer sold the resort, it is on the
auction block. A once lively ski operation that employed many local peo-
ple and entertained skiers for almost half a century is now quiet. I hope
someone will see the potential in Talisman so it doesn’t remain just another
ghost of ski seasons past.
I wish to thank Earl Georgas, Bob McMeekin, Jake Hammer, Bud Hoffman as well as Randy Hollway
