modern mountain cul ture on georgian bay
Just off the dining area is the spectacular Georgian Bay room
with a wood burning fire place, gas bbq and expansive,
screened windows. Outdoor wicker furniture with comfortable,
neutral coloured cushions, complement the natural stone walls
and floor. “This is an amazing space! Definitely our favourite part
of the house.” Oversized glass doors fold open in warmweather
- bringing the outside in. “When sitting in this room you are lulled
by the water and soothed by the sound of the waves.”
Following along the beautifully designed stone and concrete
patio outside, the route continues past the hot tub setting and
leads onto the water’s edge.
These home owners have truly thought of everything, like placing
an extra washer and dryer in the kids’ bedrooms area, so they
can do their own laundry. How smart! The lower level has a guest
suite and a full gym. The spa has an infra-red sauna and steam
room. There’s even an area that houses all the summer kayaks
and extra ski gear — complete with a customized tuning bench
and it’s wired for sound. This functional space opens to the back-
yard and driveway making loading and unloading a breeze.
This magical home can only be described as idyllic, modern
mountain living!
