SINCE ITS INCEPTION,
in the summer of 2007, Tholos has be-
come synonymous with quality dining, exceptional service and
an amazing ambiance.
This restaurant has become a popular destination for the local din-
ning community and weekend visitors to the Blue Mountain Vil-
lage. The venue seats 165 guests indoor, on two levels, offering
three quaint dining rooms and a fabulous main floor bar. Each
inviting area has a unique look and feel, making guests feel wel-
come in the warmMediterranean inspired, colours and decor. It’s
like being immersed in a Greek Village within Blue Mountain.
Open year-round, this popular dining destination, offers great
views of the Mountain, from the outdoor wrap-around patio,
which seats 160 guests, and also inside from upper level win-
dows, when the runs are lit for night skiing, during the winter
months.
The menu is Greek-Mediterranean, at its best. The home grown
recipes feature appetizers, made in house, and meals produced
using only the freshest quality ingredients. From locally farmed
fresh fish, free range chicken, grain fed beef, NewZealand lamb,
to home made fresh pasta — this is a must dine destination!
The extensive Greek and International wine list will appeal to all
budgets (from $40 - $70). Most selections are hand picked con-
signment wines, not available anywhere, this side of the Atlantic.
For those wishing to celebrate something a little more special,
check out the Presidents Seasonal Selections — featuring wines
fromMasi with vintages dating back to 1993.
The atmosphere in this establishment can only be described as up-
beat and electric. Live entertainment is offered every Friday and
Saturday night, featuring “Steve” on his Greek Bouzouki, whose
instrumental, familiar Greek tunes, gets everyone thinking
“Zorba”. The Belly dancer, every Saturday night, encourages
those daring enough, to get up and join her in body swaying mo-
tion routines, while others urge you on. If you think you’ve seen it
all, wait till the wait staff gets you up for the famous “plate break-
ing” Greek dance. That gets the camera flashes going!
For a group or corporate outing, you will not find anything out
there that comes close to this experience.
Great home-style entrees, (just watch the empty plates going by)
friendly service, and a fabulous atmosphere.
