Andy and Lee love to entertain, and fill their home with friends. On these occasions, formal candlelit
dining is truly an event. Enhanced by fresh floral vignettes, the couple’s collection of antique BlueWillow
dishes - a distinctive and elaborate pattern used on ceramic housewares popular in 18th century Eng-
land, makes an artful array on the wall as well as on the table. It finds its roots in China, where throughout
the 15th through 18th centuries, the Chinese potters were exporting their porcelain wares, decorated
with hand-painted cobalt designs under glaze. Companies like the East India Company imported the
blue and white Chinese porcelains into England.
Most of the furnishings in their home have colourful histories attached—museum quality items sourced
through Chrisitie’s and Sotheby’s auctions such as chairs formerly owned by Jeanette Rockefeller and
other stunning pieces that came from the estate of one of the world's richest women, Doris Duke. *
