Within 15 seconds
of walking into Bonnie Dorgelo’s Collingwood
studio, I knew I was in trouble. My eyes feasted on an array of stunning
contemporary jewellery including earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and pen-
dants created by Bonnie utilizing spectacular sterling silver, Swarovski
crystal and semi-precious stone. Then, my gaze turned to Bonnie’s original
floral landscapes and contemporary abstract paintings, all inspired by the
colourful spirit of nature. A virtual one-woman marvel, Bonnie Dorgelo is
clearly excelling at her chosen artistic ventures — painting and jewellery design.
Bonnie got her start 10 years ago selling her homemade jewellery, mosaic mirrors, andwire sculptures at farmers markets.
She attended Haliburton School of the Arts, winning award after award for her extraordinary creations. Since then her
jewellery creations have grown and evolved from wire and glass to semi-precious stone, Swarovski crystal, Swarovski
pearl and sterling silver.
Bonnie describes her customer as bold, casual, elegant and sporty. Her pieces can be worn easily and effortlessly every-
day, while doing just about anything. Her price point ranges between $10 for sterling silver earrings, up to $1200 for
a signature piece of jewellery. This multi-talented artist is also passionate about her painting. Inspired from sources both
real and imagined, Bonnie's love for creative expression is evident in her work. Through the use of universal symbols,
shapes and colour, her pieces are truly evocative and moving, exuding a sense of movement, delight and mystery.
A quiet celebration of beauty and spirit await you at Bonnie Dorgelo in Collingwood. I walked out with a new pair of
sterling silver earrings (which have yet to be taken off) and a mental note of every future birthday, anniversary and Christ-
mas gift I’d like to receive. Bonnie often hosts special events in her studio, offering customers a chance to try out her pieces

Recently renovated,
