In the heart
of downtown Clarksburg, above Curio Art Gallery, is a bright inviting office
where Rebecca Donald offers tarot consultations. A session typically begins with the client
choosing cards from a deck out of Rebecca’s impressive collection. The cards are arranged in
a celtic cross spread, (a traditional 10 card arrangement that tells your story), delving into
recent past, present and near future probabilities. Accompanying this, one more card is drawn
from an animal oracle deck. Every reading takes on a life of its own. Some readings encompass
multiple areas of a client’s life, while another person may get concentrated information focusing in on one topic. The
readings broach situations in the client’s present life, offering advice, insights and encouragement to help them move
forward, make their life better or more complete. At times, even enabling them to bust through indecision or stagnant
energies. Readings are structured to bring attention to the person’s present, as this is our seat of power. It seems inef-
fectual to Rebecca to tell people of their future, even a wonderful one, yet leave them hanging as to how or when they
might get there.
Rebecca’s Tarot readings are a synthesis of many things - extensive knowledge of the system of the tarot, an ability to
channel higher guidance, tap into and trust her intuition, and a desire to help people create their ideal life. Through 15
years of self study and practice combined with taking courses under some of Canada’s foremost Taroists, she has de-
veloped and refined the ability to weave all these elements together, into helpful inspiring tarot sessions.
Readings take approximately 40 minutes at a cost of $50.
Another popular service offered is tarot parties at client's home, for ladies' nights, events and special occasions. When
doing readings at parties, Rebecca uses an abridged version of the format, approx 20 min/person, ($35/person)
and sets up in an area removed from the main party, creating privacy and opportunity for individual attention. Groups
of 5-10 people are ideal.
