The very popular Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster will be open year
round, including throughout the winter. The Cascade putting course was
a big hit and will reopen in the spring. A new attraction, under construc-
tion, is Adventure Ropes, a tree top walk that will open in the spring.

Balmoral Village, is a master
planned adult lifestyle community nestled in a beautiful natural setting
alongside Black Ash Creek on the former Cranberry driving range offer-
ing a wide range of housing options including attached and detached
bungalows, townhouses, condominium apartments, as well as retirement
and long-term care facilities. With 2,800 square feet of commercial
space, 1,300 square feet of recreational there will be a variety of options.
First occupancy is anticipated to be in 2013. In December, there will be
a public meeting regarding a proposed official plan and zoning by-law
for the conversion of the former Contact Centre for a project at 125
Napier Street known as the Duke of Connaught, with four detached
homes and four apartment units.
Admiral Collingwood Place, amixed use residential and commercial con-
dominium building with historic-inspired architecture, has come to life
with a plans for a six-storey $50 million development housing 127 resi-
dential units and 2737 square metres of commercial space. The devel-
opment is advertising their units ranging in price from $259,990 to over
$800,000 aggressively. The traditional Collingwood brick will feature
stone and stucco accents with deep terraces and a rooftop amenity
space, the Admiral’s Club. Admiral Collingwood Place is marketing the
six-storey condo development from its new sales centre opposite the de-
velopment.
Wyldewood Townhouse development, at Highway 26 and Cranberry
Trail East is moving at a fast pace. To quote senior town planner Trevor
Houghton, “It’s mushroomed fast!” Tanglewood has just broken ground
for its fourth phase-26 loft townhouses.
The owner of the Consulate development in the Silvercreek wetlands area
is working on satisfying conditions of draft plan approval in order to reg-
ister a plan of subdivision. The new owner of the old Connaught School
property, Greg knight, plans to restore the building as the centrepiece of
a residential development that will feature condominium apartments.
