The private ski clubs have contributed as well with excellent pro-
grams for young riders, and dedicated Terrain Parks of their
own. However a gap forms for competitive Freestyle Snow-
boarders when they reach the highest levels at their clubs. At
age 14-15, the next move for competitive riders is the provincial
level, but most clubs don’t have the programs in place or the
experienced coaches necessary to help the riders take that next
step. So what do aspiring pro Snowboarders do?
That question is much easier to answer…most, if not all Freestyle
Snowboarders from the Escarpment who have competed at the
professional level have gone through one program.
