After
years of taking friends and guests out for cruises, Chris Reidesser and Carson Smith
saw an opportunity to turn their passion for the Bay into a part-time job. C & C Yacht Charters
operating out of the quaint little Harbour in Thornbury Ontario offers you an opportunity to
sail on the world reknown freshwater body of water known as Georgian Bay. There are a
few other Charter businesses in the area but most of them are focused on fishing charters
whereas Chris and Carson’s focuses on service and the experence of being on the Bay —
hassle and stress free, you can relax while they pamper you. Their classic fleet exudes an
"old school" feel to your sailing experience.
Charter experiences include sunset wine and cheese crusies, dinner cruises, day trips to Christian Island, open bay swim-
ming, kayaking, snorkeling, bbq's, anniversarys, Birthdays, Corporate Charters, Wedding photos, and any activity or
excuse to get out on the water. “We custom cater for each event”. You will find that C&C Yacht Charter is your most
convenient, flexible and affordable choice to get away from it all. Sailing lessons are also available however you’re
more than welcome to participate as little or as much as you wish during your sailing adventure. A perfect blend of ex-
citement and serenity on the water is awaiting you.
You don’t need to have had sailing experience but having "Sealegs", is recommended to ensure you get the greatest
value for your adventure. Carson and Chris specialize in customizing your sailing itinerary and menu plan. It can be an
intimate sail for two to celebrate a special event or perhaps your Stagette is best to be enjoyed on board a classic sailing
yacht with all your girlfriends. “We are your all inclusive floating event yacht.” (And, they’re dog friendly too!)
Your Captain is a certified First Aid & CPR/AED Instructor Trainer who will ensure your safety is first and foremost. You
are in good hands on board Sandpiper and Second Wind! Get out and explore Georgian Bay, a sailors' paradise.
About the Fleet -
Sandpiper
- Flagship Yacht, a 1973 C & C 35' Mk 1 racing/crusing yacht - She has won the Georgian
Bay Regatta, a seven day event race several times over with her previous owner. The owner prior to that had success in
the Port Huron to Mackinac Lake Huron race. Today she continues to race locally and we have plans to race her again
on Lake Huron this Summer. She has been well maintained and her instrumentation and navigation systems modernized.
She has excellent Pedigree and sails like a true Champion.
Second Wind -
This is a 31' Columbia, boasting a warm, teak filled lower cabin for ambiance. Second Wind is a comfort-
able and seaworthy yacht. Fantastic for more intimate cruising.
