update your space
When the Sumner’s
first approached Village Builders Inc. for a kitchen remodel, their initial reac-
tion was... “What’s wrong with it?”
At first glance it seemed like a nice, spacious kitchen, but upon closer inspection the cabinets were poorly
made, the kitty-corner ovens and dog-leg peninsula were an awkward waste of space, and there were no
drawers. It was simply a bad layout.
Village Builder’s Interior Designer, Lejla Eden worked collectively with home owners, Peter, who is an avid
cook and Cathy, who is a stickler for the details. Each cabinet was carefully designed so that the Sumner’s
would not only have a beautiful kitchen but a highly efficient layout.
Village Builders had to work around a very tight timeline, (while the Sumner’s were on vacation). VB knew
they had to have every detail accounted for, before demolition began. They moved lights, repaired drywall,
refinished the floor, painted the walls, moved electrical wiring and gas lines, before the actual kitchen cab-
inets were installed. The design, demolition, finishing of the room, manufacturing and install of the kitchen
cabinets took five months. Village Builders specializes in these types of design/build renovations.
