WhenKentHudsonreturned toFeversham,
thequaint townwherehegrewup,his intent
was to retireaftera successful career in retail constructionanddesign inTorontoandabroad. Inspired
by thebeautyof thehamlet, and itspositionalong theBeaverRiverandGreyRoad2 (abusy route for
cottagersandvisitorsen route toTheBlueMountainsandbeyond),Kentquickly recognized thepotential
fora thrivingbusiness.
In themid1800’s Fevershamattracted scoresof settlersdue inpart to thenumerousmills that dotted the riverbanks. But timeswereal-
readychangingwhenKent’s father, the townmiller, lost hismill toa fire. It hadbeennearly fourdecades sinceKent had lived inFever-
sham, and theoncebooming townwas inneedof a little retail therapy.
Kentutilizedhis40plusyearsof knowledge in retail to repurposehis father’s former truckbay intoacharminghomedécor shop, which
henamedHomeAccentsEmporium.Once inside thisdelightful space, youare in fora treat–stemware, dishes, art, gifts, bedding, and
traditional tea sets abound. The store connects toKent’s newest addition, TippyCanoeon theBeaver River, a “cottager’s” storewith
Canadiana inspiredgiftware, furnitureandapparel. It’s true that nobody likes to shoponanempty stomach, andKentandhis friendly
staff arehappy to serveyouacoffeeandbiscotti on the relaxingpatioalongside the shop.
CertainlyKent has brought a sophisticationwith him to Fevershamand has organized successful events including theCanadaDay

Thanks toKent, Feversham is enjoyinga rejuvenating, retail boom. Today, visitors canat onceexperience theunsurpassedbeautyof
