I used to be
an enthusiastic beer drinker, but as of late, foundmyself
gravitating towardsour local craft ciders. Thisall changedhowever,when I
was given the important taskof interviewingMaster BrewerChris Freeman
at thenewlyopenedCollingwoodBrewery. I took it asa sign toget back to
my pint guzzling roots.One sipof their most popular brew ‘Downhill Pale
Ale’ and I was hooked! Delicious and simple, ‘Downhill’ ismadewith just
four ingredientsandblendsa firmmaltinesswithanassertivehopcharacter.
Pair apint with spicy foods, grilledmeat andaprès-ski and the result is per-
fection.
TheCollingwoodBreweryhasbeenopen sinceMay2014and remarkablyeverydropof theirall-natural beer
is brewed, canned, keggedandbottledonsite. The company has a clear vision:“We shareapassion for best
