yearofoperation,OntarioTrack3hasmore thanmet itsmandate.
Theorganizationhasdevelopeda trainingsystemwithdetailedmanuals that
correspond toagraded instructor trainingprogramandhas12program lo-
cations including Craiglieth, Osler, Alpine, Beaver Valley, Mount St.
Louis/Moonstone, Glen Eden, HockleyValley, Caledon, Centennial Park,
EarlBales,BatawaSkiHill,andMountBaldy.OntarioTrack3has theirown
trained, experienced course conductors to help enable new volunteers to
workwith the childrenon thehill. Although theyare fortunateenougheach
year to recruitnewvolunteers, theyalso losesomevolunteers forvarious rea-
sonssuchaswork, family, schooletc.Eachyear they try tomaintainandgrow
their volunteerbase. This sometimes isachallenge, but theyalways seem to
continue tomove forward.
The Track3program has grown somuch that new ski schools have had to
bedeveloped.Over450volunteersactivelyparticipate in theseprograms,
toensure thatasmanystudentsaspossibleget instruction.With theirongoing
support and theadditionof newandenergetic volunteers, the futureofOn-
tarioTrack3SkiAssociation looksbright.
