presents
“BLUE SUEDE SHOES” THE KING, THE COLONEL, THE
MEMORIES -
June 11-16 Created by Chris McHarge & Colin Stew-
ard. Renowned Elvis tribute artist, Roy LeBlanc, stars in the perfect play for
Collingwood, home of the Collingwood Elvis Festival! This very unique take
on “the legend that is Elvis” explores the story of the star’s rise to fame. It is
told through the eyes of his infamous manager, Colonel Tom Parker, who
walks the audience through Elvis’ discovery at the Sun Studio in Memphis
in 1956 through to his conquering of the Las Vegas scene in the early 70s,
and much more. The show boasts 45 songs and 14 costume changes with
a fantastic photo montage and video production. From C2 Entertainment.
Billy Bishop Goes to War -
July 10—20 - Sure to both entertain
and inspire, director Sandy Thorburn stars in the production along with
award-winning actor Mark McGrinder in the role of Billy Bishop. This truly
Canadian play is about Canada’s greatest flying ace and teaches us about
the life of this lively and inspiring Canadian hero. Part musical and part
drama, this is a wonderful production that also includes real life photo-
graphs shown with permission from the estate.
All performances at The Gayety Theatre.
