This publication had a long standing relationship with AntheaWhite, who began contributing
a Real Estate column to us in our Fall issue back in1994. We called her featured articles,
Market Watch
and each editorial was a completely comprehensive report on every aspect of
development, business openings and even events that were occurring across this region.
Anthea was a stickler for detail - she would carefully check and cross-check her information,
making absolutely certain that her facts were correct. Very well connected, Anthea’s infor-
mation gathering came from several reliable sources. Peter Tollefsen was the person she
dropped in to see at the Town of BlueMountains for updates. “Instead of talking work,” says
Peter, “We talked family, stories, gossip, we laughed and cried, had a whale of fun.”
Anthea would often call me as a deadline for material approached, to say she just had to confirm a fewmore things, “I’m awaiting
a call from...”. But each time, her editorial arrived in a timely manner, and as always it was filled with the latest information. She
didn’t miss a thing. I learned something new every single time — her column was truly a synopsis of what was happening, how
the economy was looking and what the general mood was in our part of the world. And, even though our community went
through some difficult economic times during the past few years, Anthea always found a way to be positive with her comments.
Her outlook was continuously bright. Her zest for life was infectious. Anthea was a highly regarded and respected member of
the Real Estate profession who will be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of working with her.
