Only licensed wildlife rehabilitators are allowed to house and treat
injured or orphaned raccoons. There are also licensed professional
agencies that can help you with dealing with close encounters of the
raccoon kind. Raccoons showing abnormal behaviour should be re-
ported to the local bylaw authorities or Ministry of Natural Resources
in you region. Raccoons are attracted to garbage as a food source
so keeping garbage indoors or securely enclosed may decrease un-
wanted attraction in your backyard. |E|
