made itsdebut in2015 tocelebratecyclingand tohelppeoplewith
Parkinson's to livewell today. All fundraisingproceedswill go to support the joint work of theDavis Phinney
FoundationandParkinGoWellnessSociety.
Theevent is a social (non-race) ride to celebrate cyclingwith150 cyclists riding40 km, 100 kmor 200 km
routes through thescenicBeaverValleywhichshouldbe theheightof the fall colours. Thedaywill featureBeaver
ValleyandGeorgianBaycommunitiesandmerchantswhohavesupportedcyclists through thesummer season.
The routes havebeenconceivedwithamixof tarmacand sceniccountrygravel roads. Beginning inColling-
woodat the Side Launch Brewery, the ridemakes it way out toMeafordalong the famousGeorgian Trail. A
combinationof asphalt andgravel roads lead riders into theBeaverValley,where the ride follows thewinding
Beaver River. Aquick stop inKimberly gives riders amuch neededbreak before climbing some of the areas
steepest roads.
Themixof gravel andasphalt provides riderswithan interestingchallengeandallows the rideorganizers to
pick someof themost scenic routes inourarea. Ridersareencouraged touseabike suitable forgravel, likecy-
clocrossbikesor roadbikesoutfittedwith30mm tiresorwider.
The rideendswhere itbeganat theSideLaunchBrewerywithapost ridemeal,entertainmentanda frostypint
ofbeer…or two.
